Advancing Fusion Research: Astral Featured in Channel NewsAsia Documentary

Astral was recently featured in Channel NewsAsia’s latest documentary exploring the future of nuclear energy and the technologies shaping the next generation of fusion.

The segment highlights one of fusion’s most significant challenges: developing a sustainable tritium fuel cycle.

As fusion moves closer towards commercial deployment, access to experimental platforms that generate high quality research data will be essential to advancing understanding of future fusion systems. Astral’s compact fusion reactors provide a flexible platform for fusion research, with applications spanning tritium breeding studies, radioisotope production, materials testing and industrial diagnostics.

The research featured in the documentary is being conducted in collaboration with the University of Bristol and funded by UKAEA, demonstrating the role Astral’s technology can play in supporting the development of future fusion power solutions.
